AMOURLIEU
“Our first place is our body, everything is an encounter, and through its presence the Other renews us internally”.
Linda Bujoli has launched a brand-new series of works called Amourlieu, depicting bodies photographed as ‘image-sculptures’, printed on Japanese paper made from mulberry fibres,
laminated onto glass. Through these ‘paper bodies’ in the process of incarnation, the artist conceives of ‘love as pure intersubjectivity’, in the image of her two hands stretched out towards each other, evoking a mountain, a culminating point, but also two beings intertwined in the encounter. Amourlieu was first presented at the Hôtel de Tallard (Paris), once photographed by Eugène Atget.
